When the face is rejuvenated, the entire face or individual facial parts are captured without affecting every single wrinkle. The aim is to provide a younger overall impression without hindering individual expression.
In short, the face is supposed to retain its natural expression and its own wrinkle pattern. This result can be achieved with one intervention for about ten to fifteen years.
How does facelift surgery work?
Facelifting is a relatively extensive intervention, but it offers many advantages:
- hanging cheeks give way to a smooth lower jawline,
- deep wrinkles between nasal wings and corners of the mouth become softer,
- deep wrinkles from the corner of the mouth to the lower jawline smooth,
- wrinkles on the cheeks disappear,
- hanging neck skin is getting smoother again.
In preparation of the facelift, we perform a small "liposuction", which contracts the vessels of the entire operating area. Compared to conventional technology significantly less bruises appear this way. As a rule, facelift patients are already fully able to work after around a week.
How does the forehead lifting work?
In addition to the smoothing of the forehead, the forehead lift provides for a lifting of the eyebrows. This ensures keen, younger-looking eyes and a reduction of drooping eyelids.
During forehead lift, we use a technique in which we anchor little barbs to the bone before suturing in order to determine the tension. As a result, there is hardly any tension on the sutures, which means that the healing process is much faster and there is no scar in the scalp.
